Today Adam Schefter tweeted out the following:
Legursky who sometimes started at Center for Pittsburgh and LG for Buffalo has started a combined 28 games over the course of 5 years in the league. He’s done nothing too jaw-dropping in his career and the only reason Chargers seem to be interested is due to starting Center, Nick Hardwick was put on IR yesterday due to an injury to his neck he suffered in Monday nights loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The Chargers who have, sixth year man(2nd year as a Charger) Rich Ohrnberger. Ohrnberger who started last year at center heading into the playoffs for then-injured Nick Harwick, did a great job of giving Philip Rivers the time he needed.
No real reason as to why they would want to sign Legursky. My only thoughts are with Fluker having an MRI done a couple of days ago and no real word on that, the Chargers could move Legursky or Ohrnberger over into that position while one still starts at Center. Just a lot of speculation at this point. Legursky also practiced for the Jets yesterday along with other Veteran guard, Jeff Baca. So the Chargers may not even see the likes of Doug Legursky come along to the West Coast. We will have to see. I will update as soon as I hear anything on the matter.
