Chargers’ Jatavis Brown may miss week or two

The Chargers rookie inside linebacker avoided major injury when his left leg slammed into the side of a Broncos offensive lineman during a fourth-quarter touchdown run in Denver. He is  expected to miss “a week or two,” a source said, adding that Brown won’t need surgery.

Between 2011 and 2015, the San Diego Chargers saw an average of 24.6 arrests per game. The New York Giants came in second with an average of 22.5 arrests.

Chargers Awarded WR Jeremy Butler Off Waivers

Butler is a 6-2, 213-pound wideout currently in his third NFL season.  Initially signed by the Ravens in 2014 as an undrafted free agent, he caught 31 passes for 363 yards in eight games last season with Baltimore.  He began 2016 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before being joining the Jets on October 11.
