Another One Gone: Jerry Attaochu Out for the Season

The Chargers have played in 11 games this season. Of those 11, nine have had a season-ending injury.

Wide receiver Keenan Allen (ACL, after Week 1), running back Danny Woodhead (ACL, Week 2), inside linebacker Manti Te’o (Achilles, Week 3), corner Jason Verrett (ACL, Week 4), inside linebacker Nick Dzubnar (ACL, Week 5), defensive end Caraun Reid (ACL, Week 7), running back Dexter McCluster (forearm, Week 8), nose tackle Brandon Mebane (biceps, Week 10) and now a linebacker in Jerry Attaochu.

He was the Chargers’ 2nd round pick in 2014. He broke his foot Sunday in the 4th quarter; it was caught on the turf, sources said.

It’s a blow to the depth at the linebacker position and it’s a blow to him. He’s young talent and need the reps to improve his game.

He had already missed 3 games this season due to a high ankle sprain and now he’ll miss the last 5.

Week 11 Injury Report: Chargers/Raiders

???????????????????????????

Everyone take that sweet breath of relief, Ryan Mathews will finally be back in action, it seems. If that being the case, we may see the carries split with Brandon Oliver, but it’s always best to have the power of Mathews back.

After suffering a foot injury in week 3 again Buffalo, Manti Te’o may make his return this week against the Raiders as well. Along with Jeremiah Attaochu(yay pass rush!), Dwight Freeney and Rich Ohrnberger.

Jason Verrett and Sean Lissemore were not able to practice at all this week with Verrett already being ruled as OUT and Lissemore being listed as doubtful.

Jahleel Addae was a full participant for Thursday and Friday, but listed as questionable.

Probable:

  • RB Ryan Mathews
  • ILB Manti Te’o
  • OLB Jeremiah Attaochu
  • OLB Dwight Freeney
  • C/OG Rich Ohrnberger

Questionable:

  • SS Jahleel Addae

Doubtful:

  • Sean Lissemore

Out:

  • CB Jason Verrett

Ask for the Raiders, they may be without Justin Tuck, Carlos Rogers and Gabe Jackson on Sunday as they all haven’t practiced all week long.
